39 Rue de Jean Savannah welcomes residents of The Landings to an evening of fine dining and orchestral music.
On Friday, February 23, at 5 p.m., residents will be transported by private minibus from The Landings to 39 Rue de Jean Savannah located at 605 W. Oglethorpe Avenue. A three-course French dinner with wine pairings will be served from 5:30-6:55 p.m.
Grilled Sardines Pan Bagnat “Bathed sardine and bread”
Chilled roasted winter vegetables, grilled sardines and baguette, hearty herbs, boiled egg, tarragon vinaigrette
Wine pairing: Muscadet, Chateau de l’Oiseliniere, Sevre et Maine, Loire
Oyster Etoufee “Smothered oysters”
Poached oysters, brown roux, trinity mirepoix, Carolina rice
Wine pairing: Sauvignon Blanc, Chateau Graville-Lacoste, Graves, Bordeaux
Rum and bitter stewed banana, French Vanilla ice cream
Wine pairing: Muscat de Baumes de Venise, Pierre Rougon, RhoneSee
After dinner, transportation will be provided to the Johnny Mercer Theater where the Savannah Philharmonic will perform “Music of Billy Joel and Elton John” starting at 7:30 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., residents will be transported back to The Landings.
