BiS in brief: French restaurant to open downtown

French restaurant to open downtown this fall

A Charleston, S.C., company, Holy City Hospitality, has begun work on a new French brasserie and bar at 605 W. Oglethorpe Ave, in the recently opened Embassy Suites Savannah.

The restaurant, 39 Rue de Jean, is the second of its name and is a sister to what the firm calls its flagship location on King Street in Charleston.

“Savannah is rich with vibrant life and history, and we are excited to be coming to town early this fall,” said Holy City Hospitality operator Daren Wolfe.

Holy City’s other ventures include Charleston’s 39 Rue de Jean, Virginia’s on King, Coast Bar and Grill, Vincent Chicco’s, Victor Social Club, Michael’s on the Alley, The Islander and Good Food Catering.
