In conjunction with the annual Food Issue release, South Magazine hosted the 12th annual premiere dining event, DineSouth. The event took place this past Thursday, October 24th, from 6 to 9pm at the Savannah Station in downtown Savannah, Georgia. There were more than 1000 guests that attended this culinary-themed evening and everyone at Rue de Jean is excited to see how the event continues to grow!
For culinary businesses, DineSouth is one of the largest networking events in the South. This event not only brings together dozens of chefs and restaurant representatives from the Savannah area, but it also boasts celebrity guests and hundreds of self-proclaimed foodies. Everyone is encouraged to mix and mingle, thus allowing attendees to meet the people who are preparing the food they love.
Food is the star of the show, but DineSouth is also a charitable event that includes live entertainment, cocktails, beer, and wine! This year’s musical entertainment was performed by Savannah Equinox, and The Salvation Army was the beneficiary of the ticket proceeds.
39 Rue de Jean of Savannah was happy to partake in the DineSouth festival once again this year. Chef de Cuisine, Ben Beasley, served one of our favorite specialty dishes: assorted sushi! Chef Beasley and his team featured the California roll topped with hamachi, tuna, salmon, or avocado.
If you didn’t get a chance to catch Rue’s appearance at DineSouth, no need to worry! Rue de Jean in Savannah offers dinner every night starting at 5pm. Don’t forget to come early to catch the Happy Hour specials Monday through Friday from 5 to 7pm.
