With the purchase of a regular Wild Blue Challenge ticket and the code FATHERS619, dads get in for free!
Food and Drinks in Downtown Charleston
To start off the day, treat dad to a delicious brunch at Virginia’s on King. From 10 am to 3 pm, we will be serving Southern food classics like shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and Virginia’s fried chicken that will keep dad full through all the rest of the day’s festivities! Take a look at Virginia’s brunch menu here.
If seafood is more dad’s style, Coast Bar and Grill has Charleston’s freshest seafood and a wide array of options straight from the ocean to your plate. You can also catch live music at Coast every Sunday from 7 to 10 pm. Order your appetizers and entrees, take a look at our extensive wine menu, and listen to some of Charleston’s finest live musicians.
You’ll find live music this Father’s Day at more than one place around the Holy City. Victor Social Club also has live music this Father’s Day weekend, where you can also buy dad a classic cocktail or an icy cold beer and sway along to the sounds of smooth jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, and rock.
Charleston is loaded with natural features excellent for outdoor Father’s Day activities. Hitting Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s, or Folly Beach for some fun in the sun and waves is always an option. You could also choose to rent kayaks or stand-up paddle boards and take them out on the ocean or in some of the nearby creeks. Charleston Outdoor Adventures, Coastal Expeditions, and Charleston Kayak Company offer guided tour of the area, if you’d prefer to go with someone who has more knowledge of the area.
For the golfing dad, Wild Dunes Resort and and the Charleston Area Alliance have Father’s Day activities going on. You can learn more about the Wild Dunes Father’s Day Golf Getaway here. For a more family-friendly Father’s Day golf outing, the Charleston Area Alliance has a free Father-Child Mini Golf Tournament happening in downtown Charleston from 10:30 am to 12 pm on June 16th.
